Sun-Min and David Horvath had been together since they met at Art School in the mid 90's. When she had to move back to Korea after 9/11, he sent her many "miss you" letters with his character Wage at the bottom.

In 2006, Uglydolls were awarded the Specialty Toy of the Year award by the Toy Industry of America and have become very popular with celebrities. They have since won many other awards.
